An apple a day keeps the Doctor away. Or so I've heard. But a Psalm a Day, that can do so much more for your well being.  This blog started years ago. It's been in progress or limbo. Progress sounds better. Maybe we'll call it under construction since I'm married to a contractor.

Either way, I'd like to start off not necessarily with Psalms with the idea of Melodious Devotions. I've been trying to write a book but I thought to myself, there are so many hurdles. What if I just start posting these thoughts somewhere they may reach someone. Even if one person reads this it will be better than it growing stale in the depths of my usb.

If you read my description, you saw my list who I am. This song is like my theme song! LOL

Song: When the Crazy Kicks In By: Francesca Battistelli
When the Crazy kicks in Video: https://youtu.be/ar750jeupg8
Lyrics:
Here I go tiptoeing to the kitchen
And don't you know, crash goes the coffee cup
My only chance to be still and listen
Lord, don't let, don't let the kids wake up
A little time with You, the only way to get me through the day
Oh, come meet me in this moment
Before it all gets going
These plates start to spin
When the crazy kicks in
A circus of distractions
It's just about to happen
I'll be ready when
When the crazy kicks in
Pushed and pulled by a thousand expectations
And all the roles* that I'm supposed to play
To hit the ground, running's a temptation
But I have learned this lesson the hard way
A little time with You, the only way to get me through the day
Oh, come meet me in this moment
Before it all gets going
These plates start to spin
When the crazy kicks in
A circus of distractions
It's just about to happen
I'll be ready when
When the crazy kicks in
You got me, where You want me, even through the highs and lows
You know me, and You hold me, and You show me that You'll never let me [9x] go
Oh, come meet me in this moment
Before it all gets going
These plates start to spin
When the crazy kicks in
A circus of distractions
It's just about to happen
I'll be ready when
When the crazy kicks in
So, children…
Devotion:
I am a mother of 4. I have taught 5th grade. I have been in Special Education classrooms,
General Education classrooms, nurseries, daycares and the like. I now homeschool my fun 4! I love and hate
homeschooling. Seeing them learn and mature, allowing them freedom to learn in their own way at
their own pace warms my heart and gives me the encouragement I need to trudge on.
Their are other days of course. Days where no one wants to do their work, everyone is fighting
 and the dog pukes!
This song is such a reminder to smile. You have to watch the video!
Her kids end up throwing a box full of glitter on her while she’s singing.
Homeschool...Private School...Public School...no matter your life choices...their are good days, bad days, dog puking
days and of course glitter disasters that cause less angst when laughed about!
But her message isn’t just about the kids or a message for people with kids. Her message is to start the day the
right way! A friend of mine without kids had to babysit a family of 5 for a week. She told me,
”She fortified every morning with Jesus and Coffee!” I love it! What a fun reminder this song is.

“pushed and pulled by a thousand expectations.”
“A circus of distractions.”
How quickly the world pushes in on us. Set that time to start with Him, in His Word.
Whether your facing a day of schooling your own kids or someone else's kids or an office full of people and
demands; “A little time with you, the only way to get me through the day!” So Start your day off with God and if you
find it going awry turn this song on, smile and jam out!

God’s Word; Matthew 6; 25-34
"Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be added onto you. " (NKJV)

To-Do:
Carve out your God time. Set your alarm for 15 minutes earlier.
Sneak into a closet or a bathroom where no one will find you. Incorporate daily Bible or Devotion time into get
ready time with podcasts or you tube sermons.
Get a Bible App that will read the word to you as you put make up on or cook breakfast.
Leave your Bible open on the counter so you can read a few verses at a time. If your having trouble making this
a habit as I so often do...Try an accountability partner.
I had a group of ladies I used to send text messages to for a month at a time. It kept me in the word
and we all prayed over the messages conveyed through that piece of scripture
for each other and our families.

Love and Blessings to you, wherever you are.
